Exploring the Challenges of Prehospital Emergency Personnel in COVID-19 Pandemic: A qualitative study

Objectives: To explore the challenges and experiences of Prehospital Emergency Personnel in context COVID-19 pandemic Iran. Design: Qualitative study Setting: Medical Services (EMS), Participants: 15 personnel were invited to participate. Semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted between Januarys March 2021. Results: Themes relating COVID – 19 were: Lack preparedness EMS for pandemic, shortage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), psychological distress negative emotions, staff associated with delivering care patients using PPE. Conclusions: The current found that Health Care Workers (HCWs) prehospital emergency field had multiple caring their during COVID-19. Therefore, they are vulnerable this situation. These must be addressed order protect them pandemics.
